Why do I need a home electric vehicle charging station?

A purpose-designed charging station is the safest and most efficient way to charge an electric vehicle at home. A dedicated charger delivers many times the power of a standard Schuko outlet. Extended charging from a Schuko socket also poses a safety risk, which can lead to a fire in the worst case.

How fast of a charging station do I need?

How do I know which charging station is suitable for my car?

You should verify a charger’s suitability in your vehicle’s technical specifications. Your car’s onboard charger determines the maximum power it can accept, ranging from 3.6 kW to 22 kW. Charging may also be single-phase, two-phase or three-phase.

What factors should I consider when purchasing a charging station?

It’s advisable to check the size of your property’s main fuses before installation. In a typical single-family home, these are 3 × 25 amperes. You should also account for the rest of your property’s power use— for example, electric heating or running a sauna stove with EV charging can significantly increase the total electrical load.

Do I need load management at home?

Consider load management if your property’s electricity consumption is already high. Load management ensures that your home’s power draw doesn’t become excessive while charging your vehicle. Walle chargers’ dynamic load management will automatically reduce the current draw when your home’s other electricity use increases.

Can I install the Walle charger outdoors?

Yes—you can. Our charging station is designed to withstand northern climates. Its metal enclosure and high IP rating ensure it’s safe for outdoor use.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery costs €9.90 (incl. 25.5% VAT) in Finland.

Where can I buy a Walle charger?

Walle charging stations in Finland can be purchased from our distributors (e.g., Motonet and Verkkokauppa.com). Additionally, select models are available for order in Finland through Walle’s online store.

How long does delivery take?

Normal delivery time is 2–3 days (in Finland).

Warranty & claims

What kind of warranty do Walle chargers have?

Our products come with a 2-year warranty. In addition, we offer a one-year extended warranty on our devices. The electrician must complete an installation report to qualify for the extended warranty. We also provide a paid two-year extended warranty. Call us for more information.

How can I exchange or return a product?

When purchasing from our online store, you have the standard 14-day right of return. Product exchanges are arranged on an individual basis.

How can I file a complaint about a defective product?
