Walle is a safe and reliable charging station for our family’s electric-vehicle needs.

When a family that had moved from the Helsinki region to Parainen bought their first electric car, choosing a charging solution quickly became a priority. The family now lives in a roughly 140 m² single-family home with a mansard roof, and the standard wall outlet they first tried in the garage proved neither safe nor efficient enough to meet their needs.

“At first, we charged from a regular outlet in the garage, but we soon noticed the adapter heating up. For safety reasons, we decided to get a proper EV charger,” explains the family’s father, Esa Tiusanen, who works as a digital marketing specialist.

User experience: simple and worry-free

Installation was carried out quickly and without issues by a local electrician. In daily use, the charger has proven extremely reliable and easy to operate.

“The indicator light clearly shows whether everything is OK and when charging is complete. Everything works exactly as it should. It was also important to us that the installer could provide rapid service if needed,” he notes.

They occasionally optimise charging times based on electricity prices, but primarily, the car is charged overnight.

“We chose a charger with an 11 kW charging rate because it comfortably covers our current and potential future cars. We also wanted to ensure that relatives and friends visiting us can charge efficiently.”

A durable choice for family life

The family has been very satisfied with the charger and recommends the solution to anyone in a similar situation.

“This was a sensible, straightforward choice for us. We wanted a reliable, safe charger that meets our everyday needs. It was also nice that it’s a domestic product, though that wasn’t a deal-breaker. We appreciate being able to support Finnish craftsmanship,” he adds.

The charger has been in use for just under six months, and the family is happy that their choice also aligns with their climate-conscious values.
