Raision Puusepät values the highest quality

Raision Puusepät Ltd. has been known as an expert in demanding, custom-made furniture contracts for forty years. The company was founded when six joiners, faced with the closure of a shipyard, decided to start their own business to secure their livelihood. Since then, operations have grown, and over the years Raision Puusepät have delivered more than 200 complete pharmacy interiors and, perhaps most famously, the wooden ceiling and check-in counters at Helsinki–Vantaa Airport’s Terminal 2, the magnificent wall claddings in the main concert hall of Helsinki Music Centre, as well as a variety of other office-furniture solutions.

“At the start of the 2000s, we focused on high-end custom joinery, and today we’re recognised especially for our expertise in challenging wooden structures. Our business has expanded, and in 2010 we renovated our premises; the latest extension was completed in autumn 2024,” says Jarmo Yrjölä, CEO of Raision Puusepät.

Walle was the responsible choice to support renewable-energy goals

Interest in electric-vehicle charging solutions arose even before our most recent expansion. The company acquired its first solar panels in 2020, and today there are 1,100 panels on site.

“We already generate surplus solar power, and we’re currently building an energy storage unit so rooftop energy can be fully used to charge our vehicles,” Yrjölä explains.

"In the initial phase, we installed five charging stations and researched various options. We looked at different suppliers and heard good reviews about Walle. Their charging stations have indeed turned out to be reliable and user-friendly. It also fits our values to support other Finnish SMEs. Furthermore, Walle units are manufactured relatively close by, so the local aspect was a big plus,” Yrjölä notes.

A practical, scalable charging solution
When expanding our premises, we also needed more parking spaces, so we added four more Walle chargers.

“We wanted identical units to maintain a consistent, clean appearance. They’ve proven to work flawlessly, and it’s reassuring to know that service and maintenance are available domestically and close by.”

Future requirements were considered in the system design. All chargers are equipped with measurement systems to accommodate needs that may arise down the road.

“Although we don’t yet have many fully electric-vehicle drivers among our staff or clients, hybrid cars are charged here daily. We have clients who visit us regularly for long-term projects, and of course, they appreciate the opportunity to charge their cars while they’re here,” Yrjölä affirms.

“We don’t adopt practices just because they look good or to impress on social media. We do them because they’re logical. It’s wonderful to see that so many of our clients share these values—it’s a pleasure to collaborate with like-minded partners,” Yrjölä praises.
